This law replaces existing laws no. 38 of 2000, 39 of 2000, 40 of 2000, 41 of 2000, and 82 of 2000. The regulations implementing Law no. 67 of 2008 came into effect in Oman on December 17, 2008 by the Ministerial Resolution no. 103 of 2008. Subsequently, The Omani Patent Office is now accepting design applications.
